Client Interview Process

Bench This meeting is a journey to find the best means of creating a space that reflects you and your ideas. The Persian poet Rumi wrote, "This outward spring and garden are a reflection of the inward garden." Exploring your inner landscape in order to reflect that onto your outer landscape is our goal. Some questions we will ask include:

*What was your experience of the natural world as a child?
*What kinds of flowers did you pick?
*What trees did you climb?
*Where did you go for solitude outside?
*Where did you have a fort or play-house?
*What books have conjured up exciting images of landscapes, secret gardens, hollows, groves?

We will then explore how your interpretation of the outside world may have changed as you grew:
*What cherished childhood memories of nature influence you today?
*What experiences of nature have been lost?
*What is your present relationship with the natural world?

Your answers will provide us with a model by which we can design and build your EarthScape — a place of joy and comfort, a place that is both a sanctuary and a source of rejuvenation.
