Build
During the building phase, grading and elevation layouts are the first priority.
This is usually done with a bobcat and an excavator. Demolition and removal are
not always indicated, but when necessary, existing shrubs, trees and structural
elements that are to be replaced with new design concepts will be removed with a
bobcat and hauled off-site for disposal.
The next phase is the installation of "HardScapes" —
walkways, stone walls, cobblestone and/or brick work, ponds, trellis construction, pergolas, and so on.
Once these "bones" of the site are in place, we move on to the planting of WoodlandScapes
(shrubs, trees) and SoftScapes (perennials, bulbs, ornamental grasses). All soil
plantings receive a treatment combination of peat and compost.
